Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using LastBackup ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
LastBackup provides automated database backup services, including:
- Scheduled database backups
- Multiple storage destination support
- Backup encryption and security
- Backup monitoring and notifications
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be at least 18 years old or have legal guardian consent
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for illegal purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious code or content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Your Data
Ownership
You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of your database content or backup files.
Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- The legality of data you backup
- Maintaining your own copies of critical data
- Ensuring proper database credentials and permissions
Data Processing

Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Temporarily suspend service for security reasons
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
Payment Terms
Subscription
- Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice
Free Tier
- Subject to usage limits
- May be modified or discontinued at any time
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties
- We are not liable for data loss, business interruption, or indirect damages
- Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the past 12 months
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LastBackup from claims arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
Termination
By You
You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard or by contacting support.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Extended inactivity
- Legal requirements
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease
- Your data will be deleted according to our retention policy
- You remain liable for any outstanding fees
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified via email or service notification.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where LastBackup is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation
- Mediation
- Binding arbitration (if negotiation fails)
